Lindfields - Visiting the Attractions and Travelling Around
The community that started the trend for holiday homes, Lindfields is as established as the Orlando attractions themselves. Situated to the west of World Drive (the main route into Walt Disney World Resort), the community offers traditional villas that makes any Brit feel at home with road names like Parliament Court, Picadilly Circle and Tottenham Way.
Looking to play a few rounds golf? If so, Lindfields makes an excellent community, with numerous first-rate courses in the area and even more just around the corner. All in all, a little piece of Britain in the heart of Disney.
As with all things British, the local Mercantile Bank is one of the few places where you can exchange UK currency for US Dollars. Heading east on US192 for around 3 miles, there is the Rolling Oaks shopping complex with a Publix supermarket.
The Formosa Gardens Village shopping complex a mile further and has a supermarket, pharmacy, walk-in medical centre, liquor store and a selection of other shops (including an ATM cash machine). For eating out, there is a selection of restaurants and eateries, which include an Outback Steakhouse, Red Lobster, TGI Fridays, Giordano's Italian restaurant, as well as both a Chinese take-away and Japanese sushi bar. For quick snacks, there is also a Subway, Taco Bell and Dairy Queen.
