Aylesbury - Visiting the Attractions and Travelling Around
Hidden in a small, peaceful cul-de-sac a little over 1 mile south of the intersection between US27 and Interstate 4, Aylesbury offers the tranquility that is sometimes lost in the hustle and bustle of the theme parks. Built around Floridian orange groves and deliberately avoiding club houses and communal facilities, the houses are comfortable offering private pools and a pleasant, relaxing environment.
Approximately 1 mile north of Aylesbury - just prior to the intersection with I4 is Posner Park shopping centre. Here you will find major retailers including a JC Penney department store, Michaels, Target, Ross, Dress for Less and many more smaller shops. For snacks and eating out, there are some local restaurants - Perkins, Denny's, Waffle House, Bob Evans, Beef O'Bradys, the Shamrock pub and a local pizzeria amongst others. For more information on the area, the Visitor Information Center - Polk Outpost 27 is opposite Posner Park.
Publix is the nearest supermarket, which is around 3 miles south on US27, with a WalMart further 4 miles south on US27 towards Haines City. Alternatively, if you travel north on US27 for around 7 miles, there is another Publix supermarket and shopping complex, with a number of eateries. These include Applebees, Quiznos, an Indian take-away and a wine & bistro parlour.
The ChampionsGate development is around 6 miles away (towards Kissimmee), for which there is another Publix supermarket, a number of local restaurants, as well as the Omni Resort hotel, which offers fine dining for that special occasion.

Driving distances are taken from Google Maps and reference a central starting point in the community. When quoting distances to Walt Disney World Resort, these are not taken to the 'gates', but are representative of the actual distance to the specific attraction. Driving distances are not biased to any villa community.
The Davenport area is set south of the Orlando attractions, but benefits from purpose built, newer developments in conservation areas. The offset of this is that shops and restaurants may be limited, with a car being essential. That said, the area is a must for golfers, with so many fantastic courses in the area to choose from. With Interstate 4, US27 and SR17/92 routes all available, access through to the attractions, shops and restaurants is straightforward.
